Kadabra Card Care

Card Care: protect what you pull

Sleeves, top loaders, binders and grading prep from the brands collectors trust. Everything between the pack and the slab.

Why buy card care from Kadabra

We read the complaints so you don't have to learn them the hard way.

Inspected, not just shipped

Collectors keep getting scratched, cloudy toploaders and curled sleeves from big marketplaces. We check toploader packs before they go out and replace anything that arrives cloudy.

Ringless binders only

Ring binders dent the cards nearest the rings. Every binder we stock is ringless and side-loading with a zip closure.

Sizing answered up front

Japanese Pokémon, One Piece and Lorcana cards are all standard size. "Japanese size" sleeves are for Yu-Gi-Oh!. One Piece cards run slightly thick, so skip ultra-tight inners. Each product page tells you what fits.

Grading-ready

PSA wants penny sleeve plus semi-rigid holder, never a toploader. Our Grading Prep Kit has exactly that, plus a cloth, centering tool and checklist.

Light and humidity covered

Standard slabs block little UV and cards curl in damp rooms. We carry UV-filtering slab displays and a two-way humidity kit.

Built for sellers too

Our Seller Ship Kit bundles sleeves, toploaders, team bags and rigid mailers. We also publish a simple guide on when a plain envelope is fine and when to pay for tracking.

How to protect your cards

Pulled something special? Do this before you set it down.

01

Penny sleeve it

Hold the card by the edges and slide it into a fresh penny sleeve, top first. Never touch the surface; fingerprints and dust show up in grading.

02

Top load it

Slide the sleeved card into a 35pt top loader with the sleeve opening facing down so it can't slip out. Use a Card Saver instead if it's headed to grading.

03

Team bag it

Seal the top loader in a resealable team bag. It keeps dust and moisture out and stops the card from sliding out in a box or mailer.

Tip: store loaded hits upright in a storage box, away from sunlight and humidity. Never use rubber bands or tape on a holder.

Which protection for which card

Match the protection to what the card is worth and where it's going.

Card care FAQ

Penny sleeve or perfect-fit sleeve?

Penny sleeves are the standard first layer for singles and grading. Perfect-fit (inner) sleeves fit snugly and go inside a deck sleeve for play, or seal a card for long-term binder storage.

What thickness of top loader do I need?

35pt fits standard Pokémon, Lorcana and other TCG cards. Thicker cards such as patches and some promos need a thicker loader or magnetic holder rated for that point size.

Why do grading companies want Card Savers instead of top loaders?

Semi-rigid holders like Card Saver I make it easy for graders to remove the card without damaging it. Cards stuck in rigid top loaders risk damage on removal.

Are your binders safe for long-term storage?

Look for side-loading, acid-free, PVC-free pages. Side-loading pockets keep cards from sliding out, and a zip closure keeps dust out.

How should I store graded slabs?

Put each slab in a slab sleeve to prevent scratches and store it upright in a graded card box, away from direct sunlight.

Do Japanese Pokémon cards need Japanese-size sleeves?

No. Japanese Pokémon cards are the same 63 x 88 mm as English ones and use standard sleeves. "Japanese size" sleeves fit Yu-Gi-Oh! and other smaller cards.

What fits One Piece and Lorcana cards?

Both are standard size, so standard sleeves, toploaders and binders fit. One Piece cards run slightly thick, so avoid very tight "perfect hard" inners and use a perfect-fit inner with a roomy outer sleeve.

Can I recycle old sleeves?

Most sleeves are polypropylene, which curbside recycling won't take. Reuse them for bulk, or send clean ones to a hobby-plastics take-back program such as SleeveCycle.
